Teaching Trustworthy AI
The Resources provided here aim to help teachers familiarize themselves with Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence (TAI), based on the EU Ethics Guidelines for Trustworthy AI and implement Open Educational Resources on Trustworthy AI into their curricula.
The resources comprise:
A Teachers’ Guide
A set of short video clips introducing the 7 requirements for Trustworthy AI
A card deck of 42 cards to stimulate meaningful ethical discussion in class
A 7-steps exercise to learn how to assess the ethical implications of AI, based on real life AI cases
The Teacher’s Guide explains AI as a technology, its ethical, legal and societal impact, the concept of Trustworthy AI and the importance of teaching students on Trustworthy AI, even if the educational field might seem unrelated at first. It also explains how to use these resources, their learning goals, and their importance for students from different fields of education.
Taken together, these resources are meant to help students familiarise themselves with the Ethics Guidelines for Trustworthy AI and develop the ability to understand, critically assess, discuss and apply Trustworthy AI in a practical manner.
